About the client:
Our client is a well-established, multinational manufacturer of water management/drainage systems offering a wide range of high-quality products for a variety of projects including residential, commercial, and industrial.
They are currently looking for a Regional Sales Manager who will be responsible for managing all sales activities within Western Canada while providing leadership and direction to the Area Sales Managers and Specification Consultants and the Inside Sales staff.

Responsibilities:
- Plan, develop and implement overall sales strategy for Region in conjunction with other staff members as applicable.
- Direct and monitor Regional Territory performance to assure that the territory meets or exceeds the sales budget.
- Maintains territory profit objectives, operates within budgeted costs, and complies with corporate sales policies and procedures.
- Assists with HR processes including interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.
- Assist with customer problem resolution on an as needed basis.
- Participate in Budget and Year plan for region.
- Participate in tradeshows and travel across Western Canada to visit customers (25% or less).
- Comply with Company policies and procedures.
Qualifications:
- 10+ years of sales experience in the construction industry with strong leadership qualities. Previous managerial experience is an asset, not mandatory.
- Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, blueprints or technical procedures. Ability to write reports and business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
- Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Ability to take photographs for use in marketing materials.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office.
Compensation:
- $100,000 – 120,000 base salary plus uncapped commission and annual bonus.
