Our client is a well-established environmental consultancy with offices across British Columbia, providing multidisciplinary services in the natural resources and environmental sectors.
They are seeking an experienced Environmental Manager to lead their Environment department in Williams Lake, BC. This role is ideal for a dynamic environmental professional (e.g., RPBio, PAg, or RPF) with strong leadership and technical expertise.
In this position, you will oversee and mentor a team of professionals, including junior staff and technicians, while providing guidance to both internal teams and clients. You will play a key role in maintaining existing client relationships, developing new business opportunities, and leading a variety of environmental projects across multiple sectors.

Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and develop junior team members through ongoing training and support.
- Provide leadership, technical expertise, and project management across a diverse range of environmental projects within various natural resource sectors.
- Act as an Environmental Lead or Project Manager, serving as a key point of contact for clients and ensuring successful project delivery.
- Strengthen and expand client relationships to drive growth within the environmental services market.
- Prepare proposals, cost estimates, and other business development materials to secure new opportunities and build lasting partnerships.
- Champion and model a proactive safety culture while supporting the organization’s health and safety program.
Qualifications
- Recognized professional designation in British Columbia (such as, RPBio, PAg, RPF, P.Geo.).
- 5-8 years of relevant experience in environmental consulting.
- Experience managing, mentoring or leading a team of junior to intermediate environmental professionals, or ready to move into this level of management based on experience.
- Strong relationship-building and networking abilities, with experience engaging clients, First Nations, regulatory bodies, and internal teams.
- Proven project management and organizational skills, with the ability to coordinate teams, manage client expectations, and oversee project safety, budgets, and resources.
- Demonstrated commitment to mentoring and developing team members, fostering their professional growth.
- Experience preparing and reviewing technical reports, study designs, proposals, and cost estimates.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to effectively prioritize and manage competing demands.
- Solid understanding of environmental legislation and regulations in British Columbia, with the ability to ensure compliance, identify improvement opportunities, and develop practical, strategic solutions.
- Willing to relocate and work in Williams Lake, BC.
