We are seeking a full-time Engineering Regional Manager to work within our client’s Engineering Department, leading a team and working directly with clients.


The ideal candidate is motivated, positive, and dependable, with a P.Eng and related engineering consulting experience. This position is based in Prince George, BC. Relocation assistance will be provided for out of town applicants.

Responsibilities:


The Regional Manager provides hands-on leadership for project delivery, staff development, and client engagement within a defined region or service area. This role is accountable for operational performance—including safety, quality, profitability, and team culture—and bridges strategic direction from senior leadership with on-the-ground execution.The Regional Manager leads multiple Project Managers and Technical Leads, ensuring consistent delivery standards, staff development, and alignment with company objectives.


Sales and Revenue Responsibility

  •  Maintain and grow client relationships to support repeat work and targeted expansion
  •  Lead or oversee proposal development, pricing, and contract negotiations
  • Support leadership in achieving annual revenue and margin targets by monitoring backlog and pipeline
  • dentify and pursue opportunities aligned with growth strategy


Operational and Technical Leadership

  • Oversee day-to-day operations and technical delivery
  • Ensure projects are delivered on time, on budget, and to professional and safety standards
  • Manage capacity planning, workload balance, and resourcing across teams
  • Resolve operational challenges and escalate high-risk issues as needed
  •  Support implementation of company systems such as QA/QC, project controls, and safety management


Leading and Developing a Regional Team

  • Supervise and mentor Project Managers, Technical Leads, and support staff
  • Establish clear expectations, work plans, and accountability measures
  • Foster a collaborative, high-performing culture built on trust and safety
  • Support career development, training, and succession planning
  • Represent the region in leadership forums and company-wide initiatives


Financial and Operational Performance

  •  Track and report on utilization, billability, and project profitability
  • Manage regional budgets and cost control
  • Review project performance and implement corrective actions
  •  Support accurate financial reporting, forecasting, and approvals


Client and Business Development

  • Serve as the primary client contact, ensuring responsive, solution-oriented service
  • Develop and maintain key relationships for long-term partnerships
  • Support proposal and pricing development in coordination with internal teams
  •  Identify cross-functional opportunities and collaborate across regions


Collaboration and Integration

  • Work closely with peers and leadership to share best practices
  • Promote consistent delivery methods and alignment across teams
  • Participate in planning, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Reinforce a strong “one-team” culture


Policy, Safety, and Compliance

  • Uphold and model safety standards across all teams
  •  Ensure compliance with corporate policies, environmental standards, and quality systems
  • Participate in audits, safety reviews, and improvement processes


Qualifications:

  • Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in project delivery and team leadership, ideally within the natural resources sector
  • P.Eng designation required
  • Proven ability to lead teams and foster a high-performance culture
  • Strong experience in operational oversight, including quality, budgeting, and profitability
  • Excellent client relationship and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to translate strategy into actionable plans
