About the client:

This BC-based company specializes in high-quality softwood products, operating out of a modern facility on the West Coast. With decades of experience, the company sources and processes sustainable timber, primarily Douglas Fir, Western Hemlock, and Western Red Cedar. Their product line includes kiln-dried lumber, appearance-grade timbers, and custom cut-to-size solutions tailored for North American and international markets. Known for precision, consistency, and reliability, they serve distributors, wholesalers, and industrial clients with a strong focus on customer service and sustainable forestry practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Engage actively with business owners and end users to discuss and understand their technical specifications and needs.
  • Drive sales in the mill/lumber trading industry, focusing particularly on wood materials.
  • Travel frequently (30% of the year) to meet with clients and prospects.
  • Work independently to deliver outstanding sales results while collaborating with back-end teams for support in administrative, logistical, and other tasks.
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, ensuring customer satisfaction and repeat business.

 

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in the mill/lumber industry.
  • Strong sales skills, including the ability to engage effectively with business owners or end users and discuss technical specifications.
  • Fluency in Spanish is advantageous.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 30% of the year, both locally and internationally.
  • Independent, business-minded individual with a track record of achieving outstanding sales results.



Salary: Up to $100,000 | Health Benefits | Vacation Days | Travel allowance | Bonus
