Working closely with project managers, CNC operators, and cabinet makers, you’ll engineer design intent into efficient, buildable components, verify manufacturability, and ensure files and documentation meet production standards and timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
- Create detailed shop drawings, assemblies, and hardware callouts for custom cabinetry.
-
Generate part breakdowns, cut lists, nesting layouts, and CNC machine-ready files for fabrication.
- Engineer design intent into buildable solutions, resolving construction details before release.
- Review and approve drawings for accuracy, tolerances, and manufacturability.
- Collaborate with PMs, CNC operators, and shop leads to support smooth production.
- Maintain file standards, revision control, and production documentation.
- Support continuous improvement of drafting methods, templates, and CAM workflows.
Qualifications:
-
Proficiency in CAD/CAM for casework (e.g., AutoCAD, Cabinet Vision, Microvellum, SolidWorks) and experience producing CNC-ready outputs.
- Strong understanding of cabinet construction methods, materials, hardware, and joinery.
- Hands-on experience translating design to shop-floor execution (nesting, toolpaths, post-processing).
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and version control.
- Clear communication and collaboration skills across design and production teams.
- 2–5+ years in millwork/casework, custom cabinetry, or similar manufacturing environment preferred.
