The Social Worker will provide comprehensive assessments, develop safety and support plans, offer short term counseling, connect clients with community resources, and collaborate with partner agencies across NYC. This role involves both direct client work and community outreach in a culturally sensitive manner. The ideal candidate has strong clinical judgment, excellent communication skills, and experience supporting individuals facing challenging or unstable situations across a wide range of social, emotional, and practical needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct client assessments and develop individualized support plans
• Provide crisis support, counseling, and short term psychotherapy
• Assist clients with obtaining benefits, housing, financial assistance, and other services
• Maintain accurate documentation and case records in a timely manner
• Collaborate with partner organizations, legal services, and community agencies
• Participate in community outreach and educational workshops
• Support ongoing program initiatives and grant requirements
• Attend supervision, trainings, and weekly team meetings
• Provide guidance to interns when applicable

Qualifications:

• LMSW, LCSW, or LMHC required
• Experience providing support to individuals managing complex social or emotional challenges
• Prior experience working within the Orthodox Jewish community required
• Experience navigating community resources, benefits, and social service systems
• Bilingual Yiddish or Hebrew preferred
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and public speaking skills
• Ability to manage a large caseload and work in a fast paced environment

Location: Brooklyn, NY (Hybrid across multiple offices)

Type: Part time, 20 hours/week

Compensation: $35–$45/hour
