Our education organization in Flatbush is seeking a female staff member to join our Authorization Department. This role offers a competitive hourly salary ranging from $22 to $25.

Responsibilities:

• Process authorization requests from clients and internal departments.
• Verify insurance information and coverage eligibility.
• Communicate with insurance companies to obtain authorizations for services.
• Maintain accurate authorization records and documentation.
• Follow up on pending authorizations and address any issues or denials.
• Provide support and assistance to clients and staff regarding authorization inquiries.
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure timely and accurate authorization processes.
• Stay informed about insurance policies, procedures, and regulations.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in authorization, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
• Proficiency in computer skills, including data entry and navigating software applications.
• Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of insurance authorization processes and terminology is a plus.
