A childcare playgroup in Williamsburg is seeking a Secretary to join their team. This role involves handling inquiries from parents and performing basic administrative duties for current students. The position offers hourly pay ranging from $25 to $30 for hours approximately from 10 AM to 3 PM.


  • Field phone calls and inquiries from parents interested in the playgroup.
  • Provide information about the playgroup's programs, enrollment process, and policies.
  • Schedule appointments for prospective parents to visit the playgroup.
  • Assist with administrative tasks such as maintaining student records and files.
  • Prepare and distribute communication materials to parents regarding playgroup events and updates.
  • Coordinate with staff to ensure smooth operations and communication within the playgroup.
  • Help with classroom setup, organization, and cleanliness as needed.
  • Support teachers and staff with various tasks to ensure the well-being and safety of children.
  • Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions with parents, staff, and children.


  • Previous experience in a secretarial or administrative role preferred.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office.
  • Genuine interest in childcare and early childhood education.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Patience, flexibility, and a nurturing disposition.

Location: Williamsburg

Salary: $25 - $30 hourly (10-3)
