The Accountant will oversee financial reporting and accounting operations for Skilled Nursing Facilities, ensuring accurate month end close, reconciliations, budgeting support, and regulatory compliance. This role requires hands on experience in long term care accounting and a clear understanding of healthcare reimbursement structures.

The ideal candidate understands the financial complexities of SNFs, including Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement, cost reporting requirements, and multi facility financial oversight. Strong analytical skills and attention to detail are essential to support leadership with accurate, timely financial data and ensure regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage month end close processes across facilities

• Prepare and analyze financial statements and internal reports

• Perform account reconciliations and maintain general ledger accuracy

• Support budgeting and forecasting initiatives

• Assist with Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement reporting and cost reports

• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and financial standards

• Collaborate with facility leadership on financial performance analysis

• Support audit preparation and financial documentation

Qualifications:

• Direct Skilled Nursing Facility accounting experience required

• Strong understanding of Medicare and Medicaid reimbursement and cost reporting

• Experience managing multi facility financial operations preferred

• Proficiency in accounting systems and Microsoft Excel

• Strong analytical and problem solving skills

• High attention to detail and organizational ability

• Ability to manage deadlines in a regulated healthcare environment
