The HR Director will lead and oversee all human resources functions for a growing ABA and behavioral health organization. This role requires a strong, hands on leader who can build structure, improve processes, and support a high performing team across multiple departments. The ideal candidate is organized, people focused, and experienced in managing HR operations in a regulated environment, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and compliance.
This role will partner closely with leadership to strengthen company culture, improve retention, and ensure HR policies and procedures are implemented consistently and professionally.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead HR strategy and day to day HR operations across the organization
• Oversee recruiting, onboarding, training coordination, and employee lifecycle management
• Manage employee relations, performance issues, and conflict resolution professionally
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and internal policies
• Develop and implement HR systems, SOPs, and reporting for better accountability
• Support department leaders with staffing plans, retention, and team development
• Oversee benefits administration, payroll coordination, and HR documentation
• Maintain accurate employee records and ensure timely completion of HR requirements
• Help strengthen culture through communication, training, and employee engagement initiatives
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of HR experience with at least 2+ years in a leadership role
• Prior experience in healthcare, behavioral health, or ABA strongly preferred
• Strong knowledge of HR compliance, employee relations, and HR operations
• Proven ability to build systems, policies, and processes in a growing organization
• Excellent communication, discretion, and leadership skills
• Highly organized with strong follow through and ability to manage competing priorities
