The Outside Sales Representative is responsible for generating new business opportunities and building relationships with potential customers in the trucking and transportation industry. This role requires a results-driven individual with a strong sales background, excellent communication skills, and a customer-centric mindset.
Responsibilities:
- Identify and target potential customers in key industries, including manufacturing, retail, distribution, and logistics.
- Prospect for new business opportunities through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of leads and opportunities to drive revenue growth.
- Build and nurture relationships with decision-makers and key stakeholders at prospective client companies.
- Conduct in-depth needs assessments to understand clients' transportation requirements and challenges.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including operations, pricing, and customer service, to develop tailored solutions that meet clients' needs and objectives.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals to prospective clients, highlighting the value proposition of our trucking services.
- Articulate the benefits of partnering with our company, including our reliability, flexibility, and commitment to customer service.
- Negotiate pricing and terms to close deals and secure new business contracts.
- Stay informed about industry trends, market dynamics, and competitive landscape.
- Conduct market research and competitive analysis to identify opportunities for differentiation and market positioning.
- Utilize market insights to develop targeted sales strategies and tactics.
- Maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and deal progress in the CRM system.
- Generate regular sales reports and forecasts to track performance against targets and objectives.
- Provide feedback and insights to management to inform strategic decision-making and resource allocation.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in sales, preferably in the trucking or transportation industry.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
- Results-driven with a strong track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
- Ability to understand clients' needs and develop tailored solutions.

- Willingness to travel as required.

Salary: $1,000 weekly plus commission
