UAS Software Engineer — Autonomy & Onboard Systems
How do you get a swarm of drones working together?
You need software that connects what happens onboard each aircraft with the systems coordinating it.
Joining an aerospace technology business developing advanced unmanned aircraft, you’ll work across onboard software, systems-level autonomy and cloud integration—helping turn individual aircraft into a coordinated system.
Connect the aircraft to the bigger picture.
Your work will span the software running onboard, the interfaces connecting it to hardware and the infrastructure supporting deployment and orchestration.
You’ll help:
You’ll work between flight-control engineering and an existing software lead responsible for cloud systems and data pipelines. Your contribution will help those two worlds work together.
You enjoy solving problems across system boundaries.
You might describe yourself as a robotics software engineer, an autonomy engineer or an embedded software engineer.
What interests you is how the whole system behaves: how onboard software interacts with hardware, how devices communicate and how cloud services coordinate activity in the field.
Experience across robotics, UAVs, connected devices or edge-to-cloud systems could be relevant. MQTT, AWS, onboard firmware, hardware abstraction and networking are particularly useful areas to bring into the conversation.
