Field Technician

Employment Type: Full-Time

Location: Onsite + Client Visits (Charlotte, NC area)

Salary: $45,000 – $70,000


Key Requirements

  • MSP experience required
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and reliable vehicle
  • U.S. Citizenship required


Work Environment & Logistics

  • 5 days onsite with 3–4 days per week at client sites
  • Fast-paced, client-facing role with hands-on technical work
  • Optional on-call participation:
  • Paid at $100/hour for after-hours tickets (even short-duration work)

The Opportunity

We are hiring a Field Technician for our Charlotte operations team. This is a hands-on role for someone who can make an immediate impact with minimal oversight. We are targeting candidates with 1–3 years of experience who bring strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a drive to grow within the MSP space.


What You’ll Do

  • Provide on-site technical support across a diverse client base
  • Diagnose and resolve a wide range of IT issues
  • Quickly learn internal tools, systems, and processes
  • Act as a client-facing representative, communicating clearly and professionally
  • Work in a dynamic environment where no two days are the same


What You’ll Bring

  • 1–3 years of experience in a field engineering or technical support role (MSP preferred)
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills (hands-on experience prioritized over certifications)
  • Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt to different environments
  • Strong organization, time management, and problem-solving skills
  • A “troubleshooter” mindset with a passion for fixing complex issues
  • Commitment to continuous learning (home labs, self-study, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
