Chief Operating Officer (COO)/ VP Of Operations

Employment Type: Full-Time

Reports To: Chief Executive Officer (CEO)

Salary: $150,000 - $200,000

Logistics: 100% Remote


Position Overview

We are seeking a hands-on, growth-oriented Chief Operating Officer (COO) or VP Of Operations to lead and scale operations across a rapidly growing technology services organization. This executive leadership role is responsible for overseeing service delivery, operational performance, process standardization, and leadership development across Engineering, Project Management, Training, and Client Operations.


The ideal candidate is a proven operator who has successfully scaled service-based organizations, built repeatable processes, developed strong leadership teams, and driven operational excellence during periods of rapid growth. This role serves as the company’s operational leader, ensuring consistent execution while partnering closely with the CEO on strategic initiatives, growth, acquisitions, and expansion efforts.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Lead day-to-day operations across:
  • Engineering
  • Project Management
  • Training
  • Client Operations
  • Establish scalable processes, KPIs, accountability frameworks, and operational best practices
  • Ensure consistent delivery of implementations, integrations, training, and ongoing client services
  • Drive workforce planning, organizational design, and capacity management to support growth

Process & Performance Management

  • Standardize project scoping, statements of work, onboarding, and change management processes
  • Build and maintain operational metrics that improve visibility, accountability, and performance
  • Identify opportunities for operational efficiency, automation, and continuous improvement
  • Develop scalable systems that support long-term organizational growth

Leadership & Team Development

  • Develop, mentor, and support operational leaders
  • Build a culture centered around accountability, execution, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Create organizational structures that promote team performance and career development
  • Manage leaders across multiple departments while aligning teams toward company goals

Strategic Planning & Growth

  • Partner with executive leadership on:
  • Forecasting
  • Budgeting
  • Resource planning
  • Strategic initiatives
  • Support acquisition activity, integration efforts, and operational expansion
  • Help position the organization for sustainable long-term growth


Qualifications

Required Experience

  • 10+ years of operational leadership experience in one or more of the following:
  • Managed Services (MSP)
  • DSO environments
  • Managed Security Services (MSSP)
  • Healthcare IT
  • Technology Services
  • SaaS Implementation
  • Other service-based organizations
  • Proven success scaling teams, processes, and service delivery operations
  • Experience managing managers and building high-performing leadership teams
  • Strong background in:
  • Process improvement
  • KPI development
  • Organizational design
  • Operational strategy


Leadership Skills

  • Exceptional communication and executive presence
  • Strong business acumen and decision-making ability
