MSP Experience Required

About the Role

We are seeking an IT Field Engineer to provide hands-on PC deployments, hardware refreshes, onsite troubleshooting, and network equipment installations. When not in the field, you’ll support the Service Desk by resolving Tier 1 and Tier 2 tickets across multiple client environments.

Role Responsibilities

• Deploy, configure, replace, and troubleshoot desktops, laptops, peripherals, and Windows 10/11 devices.
• Install and configure switches, firewalls, wireless access points, and network equipment.
• Troubleshoot hardware, software, networking, firewall, and connectivity issues.
• Support VLANs, DNS, DHCP, subnetting, Microsoft 365, Intune, and Autopilot.
• Resolve Tier 1 and Tier 2 remote support tickets when not in the field.
• Conduct onsite IT assessments and maintain network and site documentation.
• Coordinate with ISPs, cabling vendors, and hardware providers during installations.
• Maintain accurate ticket, asset, topology, and client documentation.

Required Experience & Qualifications

• 2–4 years of hands-on IT support, field deployment, and PC/laptop provisioning experience.
• Experience deploying and troubleshooting Windows 10/11 environments.
• Working knowledge of networking, including switches, firewalls, wireless, VLANs, DNS, and DHCP.
• Experience with PSA, RMM, documentation, and remote-support tools.
• Strong customer service, communication, and time-management skills.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Ability to lift and move IT equipment up to 50 lbs and work in network closets.

Preferred Qualifications

• MSP experience.
• Experience with Cisco Meraki, Ubiquiti, Autotask, Datto RMM, and IT Glue or similar platforms.
• Experience with Intune, Autopilot, and Microsoft 365.
• CompTIA A+, Network+, Cisco Meraki, or Microsoft 365 certifications.
• macOS support experience.
• Experience working with AI tools or technologies.
