Full-Time | Leadership Role | Confidential Search

Location: Atlantic Canada / Northeastern Region (100% Paid Relocation)

Travel: Regional travel within Atlantic Canada and the Northeastern U.S. required

Are you a senior forester, forest operations professional, or woodlands supervisor ready to step into a leadership role?


We are conducting a confidential search for a Forestry / Woodlands Operations Manager to oversee a dynamic team and lead field operations including harvesting, transportation, and road construction/maintenance.


This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on operational leadership while also contributing to long-term planning, safety, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day forestry operations including harvesting, trucking/logistics, and road construction/maintenance
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and sustainable execution of woodlands activities
  • Manage budgets, planning, and resource allocation for assigned operations
  • Supervise and develop a small team of forestry professionals
  • Maintain strong working relationships with contractors, landowners, and internal stakeholders
  • Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement
  • Support operational planning and long-term forest management objectives


Qualifications

  • 5+ years of leadership experience in forestry, woodlands operations, or natural resource industries
  • Strong background in harvesting, logging, trucking, or road building operations
  • Experience managing crews, contractors, and operational budgets
  • Knowledge of safety programs and regulatory requirements in forestry operations
  • Strong communication and leadership skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, field-driven environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Forestry, Engineering, Business, or related field preferred
