Job Title: Domestic Freight Outside Sales Account Executive

Location: Baton Rouge, LA


Position Overview:

The Domestic Freight Outside Sales Account Executive will play a pivotal role in expanding our customer base and achieving revenue growth objectives in the Baton Rouge region. You will be responsible for selling and promoting our freight and shipping solutions to prospective clients, understanding their business requirements, and building long-lasting relationships.


Key Responsibilities:

  1. Client Acquisition:
  • Identify potential clients through research, networking, and cold calling.
  • Arrange and conduct face-to-face or virtual sales meetings with potential clients.
  • Present and sell company services to current and potential customers.
  1. Sales Strategy & Planning:
  • Develop and implement strategic sales plans tailored to the Baton Rouge market.
  • Provide timely feedback on market trends, competitive activities, and potential for new products or services.
  1. Account Management:
  • Establish, maintain, and expand customer relationships, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure efficient service delivery to clients.
  1. Reporting & Documentation:
  • Keep accurate records and document sales activities, including sales calls, closed sales, and follow-up activities.
  • Analyze and report on sales statistics to determine business growth potential.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of outside sales experience, preferably in the freight or logistics industry.
  • Strong understanding of customer and market dynamics in the Baton Rouge region.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Proficient in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
