Faculty – Aviation Program (Full-Time)
Schedule: Flexible academic calendar with summers off
We are seeking a passionate and experienced aviation professional to join our collegiate aviation program as a full-time faculty member. This position offers a unique opportunity to shape the next generation of aviation professionals through classroom instruction, curriculum development, and academic mentorship.
About the Role:
The faculty member will report to the Head of Academics within the Aviation Department and will be responsible for teaching undergraduate courses in areas such as aviation safety, aerodynamics, aircraft systems, crew resource management, or air transportation. Course assignments will align with the candidate’s strengths and the needs of the department.
What You’ll Do:
- Teach and develop aviation-related coursework for undergraduate students
- Contribute to curriculum enhancement and alignment with industry standards
- Mentor and advise students in both academic and professional development
- Collaborate with faculty and leadership to maintain FAA and institutional compliance
- Participate in departmental meetings, committees, and accreditation efforts
What We’re Looking For:
- A Master’s degree (required), preferably in Aviation, Aeronautics, Education, or related field
- Previous experience teaching at the collegiate level or equivalent industry instructional experience
- FAA certifications such as Commercial Pilot Certificate, CFI, or ATP preferred
- Strong knowledge of current trends in aviation, safety, and technology
- Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
