Building Automation Engineer – Toledo, OH

What You’ll Do:

• Design and implement temperature control systems for commercial HVAC applications.
• Interpret and execute system layouts based on construction documents.
• Work on integration platforms like BACnet, Lon, and Modbus systems.
• Assist estimators in determining control equipment counts through equipment take-offs.
• Develop and update control submittal drawings, system programming, and communication integration.
• Ensure compliance with contract drawings and specifications.
• Create custom graphic packages for building automation systems.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and field teams for seamless execution.
• Conduct value engineering to optimize costs and system efficiency.

What You Need:

✅ 5-10 years of experience in building automation, control system design, and implementation

✅ Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, control theory, and energy management strategies

✅ Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Visio, and experience with Bidtracer is a plus

✅ Ability to read blueprints, interpret specifications, and analyze complex systems

✅ Excellent communication and problem-solving skills

✅ Willingness to travel 25% and wear PPE on job sites when required

✅ A degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field is a plus but not required
