Freight Forwarding Sales Executive

Location:

Multiple locations available across the U.S.- Detroit, MI | Cleveland, Columbus, Cincinnati, OH

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Freight Forwarding Sales Executive to join our growing team. This role focuses on identifying, developing, and closing new business opportunities in international freight forwarding, including air and ocean transportation. The ideal candidate is a self-motivated sales professional with a proven track record in logistics, a strong network, and the ability to drive revenue growth through strategic client acquisition.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute a sales strategy to identify and secure new freight forwarding business.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their logistics needs and offering customized solutions.
  • Generate leads, conduct sales presentations, and negotiate contracts to close deals.
  • Collaborate with internal operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and service delivery for clients.
  • Stay up to date on market trends, competitor activities, and industry developments.
  • Maintain accurate sales forecasts, reports, and CRM data to track performance.
  • Represent the company at industry events, networking functions, and client meetings.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • 2+ years of sales experience in freight forwarding (air & ocean preferred).
  • Strong understanding of international logistics, trade regulations, and supply chain solutions.
  • Proven ability to generate new business and meet/exceed sales targets.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
  • Highly motivated, competitive, and results-oriented mindset.
  • Ability to work independently while collaborating with internal teams.
  • Experience using CRM software and sales tracking tools.

Preferred Skills:

  • Existing portfolio or network of clients in freight forwarding or logistics.
  • Ability to develop innovative, client-focused logistics solutions.
  • Experience in both transactional and consultative sales approaches.
