Title: DevOps Lead

Job Description:

The DevOps Lead is responsible for driving the organization’s DevOps strategy, ensuring seamless integration of development and operations, and fostering a culture of automation, scalability, and continuous delivery. This role leads a team of DevOps engineers, defines best practices, and ensures robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure automation, and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement DevOps frameworks, best practices, and operational standards.
• Design and maintain CI/CD pipelines for efficient and reliable software delivery.
• Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation-first principles across teams.
• Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth release cycles.
• Architect and manage scalable, secure, and resilient cloud infrastructure.
• Oversee configuration management and environment consistency across all stages.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting solutions for proactive issue detection.
• Ensure compliance with security and governance standards in deployment processes.
• Lead incident response for deployment-related issues and ensure timely resolution.
• Mentor and guide DevOps engineers to strengthen technical and operational capabilities.
• Continuously evaluate and implement tools for automation, containerization, and orchestration.
• Drive a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 8–12+ years of experience in DevOps, Platform Engineering, or related roles.
• Strong expertise in Linux/Unix systems and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps, etc.).
• Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code tools (Terraform, Ansible, CloudFormation).
• Experience with containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Strong scripting/programming skills (Python, Bash, Go).
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog).
• Proven track record in managing deployments and resolving production issues.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
