The Industrial Mechanic is responsible for performing a wide range of general maintenance tasks and supporting skilled mechanics in repairing mobile equipment. This role ensures that equipment is kept in optimal working condition to maximize production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist mechanics and skilled personnel with repairs on mobile equipment.
- Perform mechanical work, including operating powered tools, hoists, and other mechanical equipment for repairs
- Operate welding and torch equipment for basic repairs and cutting tasks.
- Procure and transport parts, materials, tools, and equipment as needed.
- Conduct routine safety inspections and maintain a clean, organized work area.
Qualifications:
- Strong mechanical aptitude with a solid understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and conveyor systems.
- Minimum of 4 years of hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, including troubleshooting, repair, and preventative maintenance of mechanical systems and mobile equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to extreme heat, cold, noise, and outdoor environments.
- Required to wear appropriate personal protective equipment at all times.
Physical Requirements:
- Regularly required to walk, sit, lift, push, pull, and climb.
- Must exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 20 pounds frequently, and 10 pounds constantly.
- Must be able to communicate effectively and work safely around heavy machinery.
