The Business Development Manager will drive company growth by identifying opportunities, building client relationships, and expanding the customer base within the industrial, institutional, and warehouse distribution sectors.


This role requires strategic planning, market analysis, and collaboration with internal teams to meet sales goals and support expansion in the commercial roofing industry.


Key Responsibilities


Business Growth & Strategy:

  • Drive business development by identifying opportunities and building relationships in the commercial roofing sector.
  • Focus on long-term maintenance contracts, such as retail facilities and large industrial warehouses.


Client Acquisition & Relationship Management:

  • Develop proposals and negotiate contracts with large retail facilities and industrial warehouses
  • Build and maintain relationships, ensuring client satisfaction with maintenance services.


Market Knowledge & Research:

  • Stay informed on market trends, competitors, and the needs of multi-site industrial and warehouse distribution facilities.


Sales Pipeline Management:

  • Track and manage the sales pipeline using CRM tools to forecast revenue and track KPIs.



Qualifications


Experience:

  • Several years of business development experience with a proven track record of successful client acquisition.
  • Experience selling to large retail facilities or distribution warehouses is required.


Industry Knowledge:

  • Solid understanding of commercial property and facilities management, particularly within the industrial and warehouse sectors.


Location Requirement:

  • Must live within 45 minutes of Sterling, VA. Remote work is allowed, but in-office visits every 2-3 weeks are required.


Compensation:

  • Base Salary: $75,000 - $100,000
  • Bonus: Uncapped Incentives (Target additional ~$50k)
