Consumer Financial Services Career Associate — Multiple U.S. Offices
A nationally recognized AmLaw firm is seeking a Career Associate (5–8 years) to join its Consumer Financial Services (CFS) Litigation & Regulatory practice.
We are looking for an attorney with strong business litigation experience who is interested in working with a top-ranked, national team handling complex matters across the country.
Ideal candidates bring experience in:
- Commercial litigation
- Representation of financial institutions, lenders, fintechs, servicers, or credit reporting companies
- Defense of claims under:
- Fair Credit Reporting Act (FCRA)
- Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA)
- Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA)
- Managing discovery, drafting dispositive motions, and handling court appearances
- Independent case management and supervising junior team members
Candidates must demonstrate:
- Excellent legal writing, analytical, and oral advocacy skills
- Strong academic credentials
- Ability to handle complex litigation with minimal supervision
- Admission in good standing to at least one U.S. jurisdiction
This practice handles matters involving:
- Consumer lending and servicing
- Background screening and credit reporting
- Debt collection and credit repair
- Fair housing and consumer mortgage issues
- Online lending, payments, and fintech regulatory issues
- State and federal investigations and regulatory examinations
