Litigation Associate – Catastrophic Injury & Wrongful Death

Coral Gables, FL (On-Site / Hybrid)

Overview:

Boutique litigation practice with a low-volume, high-value caseload seeks a litigation associate to assist with serious to catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters. Ideal candidates have exceptional legal research and writing skills, prior complex motion practice, and the ability to handle hearings as needed.

Responsibilities:

• Draft persuasive motions, memoranda, and appellate briefs in high-value injury and wrongful death cases.
• Conduct in-depth legal research and case analysis.
• Handle hearings when assigned.
• Assist in trial preparation, including expert witness coordination, deposition preparation, and evidence review.
• Manage a small docket of complex cases with a high level of independence.

Qualifications:

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Member in good standing with the Florida Bar.
• Minimum 3+ years of civil litigation experience — preferably catastrophic injury, wrongful death, or high-value torts.
• Demonstrated success in complex motion practice.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience in trial preparation and strategy preferred.

Compensation:

• Estimated Base Salary: $120,000 – $150,000 (commensurate with experience)
• Performance-based bonuses possible.
