Overview
We are seeking an experienced Pharmacy Manager to lead our Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy operations while providing occasional support in a retail pharmacy setting. This is a great opportunity for a pharmacist who enjoys a balance of leadership, clinical oversight, and hands-on pharmacy work.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, values continuity of care, and is passionate about improving patient outcomes within LTC facilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily operations of the LTC pharmacy, including staffing, workflow, and quality assurance
- Verify and dispense prescriptions in compliance with state and federal regulations
- Conduct and supervise medication regimen reviews to support optimal patient outcomes
- Lead, mentor, and develop pharmacy staff while ensuring adherence to policies and procedures
- Collaborate with nurses, prescribers, and facility staff to resolve medication-related issues
- Provide support in the retail pharmacy as needed (verification, counseling, immunizations)
- Maintain accurate documentation, billing processes, and audit readiness
- Manage inventory, purchasing, and cost controls within the department
Qualifications
- PharmD or BS in Pharmacy from an accredited institution
- Active, unrestricted New York Pharmacist license

Required: Long Term Care (LTC) pharmacy experience

Preferred: Prior leadership or management experience
- Retail or community pharmacy experience
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
- Familiarity with LTC systems, consultant reporting, and regulatory standards
Schedule & Work Environment
- Full-time position
- Schedule may include occasional evenings or weekends
- Primarily LTC-focused with periodic retail pharmacy coverage
