We are seeking an experienced HVAC Service Technician to diagnose, repair, and maintain heating, air conditioning, and climate control systems installed on heavy-duty trucks, commercial vehicles, and off-road equipment.

This is a unique opportunity that combines HVAC troubleshooting with mechanical and diesel equipment experience. The ideal candidate has a background in HVAC along with automotive, diesel, or heavy equipment repair. You do not need to be an expert in both trades we're looking for someone who is mechanically inclined, eager to learn, and enjoys solving complex problems.

Work is performed both in the shop and at customer locations using a company service vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems on trucks and heavy equipment
• Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, and system calibrations
• Repair heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration components
• Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and engine-driven HVAC systems
• Repair and service snow plows and spreaders as needed
• Complete accurate service documentation and maintenance records
• Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
• Coordinate with the parts department to ensure efficient repairs
• Maintain inventory and organization of the service vehicle
• Manage daily service schedules and job assignments
• Operate a company vehicle safely while traveling to customer sites
• Follow all safety procedures and applicable HVAC/R standards

Qualifications

• Experience in HVAC, automotive, diesel, heavy equipment, or maintenance mechanics
• Mechanical aptitude with strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
• Experience with electrical diagnostics is highly preferred
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
• Ability to work independently while providing excellent customer service
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• EPA certification is a plus, but not required
• HVAC certification is welcomed but not required for candidates with strong mechanical experience
