Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our maintenance team. This position is responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks, heavy equipment, and fleet vehicles. The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, and capable of troubleshooting complex mechanical and electrical issues.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, drivetrains, and hydraulic systems
- Perform preventative maintenance services and inspections
- Troubleshoot electrical, fuel, air, and brake systems
- Complete repairs on suspension, steering, cooling, and exhaust systems
- Utilize diagnostic software and scan tools to identify issues
- Maintain accurate service and repair documentation
- Ensure all work is completed safely and in compliance with company standards
- Assist with emergency repairs to minimize equipment downtime
- Maintain a clean and organized work area
Qualifications
- Previous diesel mechanic experience required
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working with diesel engines and heavy equipment
- Ability to read service manuals, schematics, and repair documentation
- Familiarity with computerized diagnostic equipment
- Own tools preferred
- Valid driver's license required; CDL is a plus
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and work in a shop environment

Pay
Up to $45.00 per hour (based on experience)
