We are seeking an experienced Mobile Diesel Technician to join our growing team in the Richmond, VA area. This is a field-based position where you'll travel to customer locations in a company-provided service truck to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on diesel-powered trucks and equipment.

Please Note: Interviews are taking place now, but the anticipated hiring/start date is August 17 due to the opening of a new service facility.
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair diesel engines, drivetrains, and related mechanical systems
- Perform preventative maintenance and scheduled service at customer locations
- Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, air brake, fuel, and cooling systems
- Complete engine, suspension, steering, brake, and drivetrain repairs
- Utilize diagnostic software and scan tools to identify mechanical issues
- Maintain accurate service documentation and repair records
- Communicate professionally with customers regarding repairs and recommendations
- Keep the company service truck organized, stocked, and in safe operating condition
- Follow all company safety procedures and industry standards while working independently in the field
Qualifications
- 3+ years of diesel technician experience preferred
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
- Experience working on medium and heavy-duty diesel trucks and equipment
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Experience using OEM diagnostic software and scan tools
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- CDL is a plus, but not required
- Own tools preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
Compensation & Benefits
- $30.00 to $40.00 per hour, based on experience
