Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Industrial Maintenance Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining and repairing various types of machinery and equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety standards in our Quarry environment. This role requires a strong technical background and the ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical issues.


Signing Bonus: (paid out in equal installments at 90, 180, 270 and 365 days. Employees must be actively employed to receive these payments.)

  • $5000 "A" Level Maintenance Mechanic
  • $3500 "B" Level Maintenance Mechanic
  • $2000 "C" Level Maintenance Mechanic/Plant Operator

Job Description: As an Industrial Maintenance Mechanic in a rock quarry environment, you will be responsible for completing numerous tasks involved in the installation, maintenance, and repair of production and production-related equipment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative, responsibility, have good interpersonal skills, and be flexible/adaptive to a fast-paced and fluid business environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Perform skilled maintenance on rock quarry equipment including rock crushers, conveyor belts, electrical panels, and similar equipment
  • Inspect and diagnose equipment difficulties and malfunctions
  • Take necessary actions to restore equipment to good operating order
  • Evaluate equipment failures, identify root causes, and communicate findings
  • Suggest and implement equipment improvements as directed
  • Conduct daily equipment rounds, observing machine operations and listening for unusual sounds
  • Follow preventative maintenance schedules and procedures
  • Assist with maintenance and repairs on various machinery including:
  • Compressors
  • Generators
  • Fans and motors
  • Pumps
  • Gearboxes
  • Mixers
  • Blowers
  • Conveyors
  • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Lubricate, clean, and service equipment
  • Maintain a clean and safe work area
  • Properly manage, store, and safeguard equipment, materials, and supplies
  • Complete work assignments within the allocated time frame

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience as a Maintenance Mechanic in a similar position
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Technical school education preferred (welding, electrical, maintenance, etc.)
  • Welding experience required (MIG, stick, and overhead welding)
  • Working knowledge of Hydraulic and Pneumatic systems
  • Understanding of mechanical failure reasons and correction steps
  • Ability to read and interpret maintenance manuals, diagrams, schematics, and parts manuals
