Salary Potential
The annual earning range reflects the hourly rate plus typical overtime. Compensation is based on experience, skills, education, and training. Overtime is generally calculated daily after 8 hours worked.
Position Summary
This role is responsible for servicing and repairing rental equipment both in the shop and in the field. The ideal candidate has strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and a safety-first mindset.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic equipment
- Perform preventative maintenance on rental equipment and accessories
- Read and interpret equipment manuals, mechanical drawings, and electrical schematics
- Replace or repair defective components using hand tools, gauges, and testing equipment
- Rebuild, install, and align pump assemblies using safe rigging practices
- Create, track, and complete work order documentation accurately and timely
- Maintain flexibility in a fast-paced, changing environment
- Deliver positive customer service and represent the company professionally
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Basic understanding of hand tools
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Must own required tool inventory (details discussed during interview)
- Strong customer service skills and professional demeanor
- Safety-first mentality at all times
Work Schedule
- Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
- May require work outside standard hours (discussed during interview)
Physical Requirements
- Stand, bend, squat, kneel, crouch, and climb regularly
- Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally (floor to chest)
- Prolonged use of hand tools
- Reach and work overhead
- Push/pull using mechanical tools
- Operate and maintain a field service vehicle (GVW under 26,000 lbs)
Work Environment
- Indoor work around moving mechanical parts
- Outdoor exposure to weather conditions (heat, cold, humidity, inclement weather)
- Moderate to occasionally loud noise levels
- Work in cramped spaces or elevated areas
- Strict compliance with PPE and safety regulations required
- Must follow all Health, Safety & Environmental (HSE) procedures
