About the Role: 

We are hiring a hunter-minded Account Executive to drive net new business for our English Language programs. This is a role for a true business development professional ready to open doors and close transformative deals that impact student learning outcomes. 

 

Key Responsibilities: 

  • New Business Development: Aggressively prospect and generate leads with district EL directors, superintendents, CAOs, and key decision-makers. 
  • Solution Selling: Conduct needs assessments to understand EL program gaps and position our suite of EL screeners, assessments, and instructional supports as strategic solutions. 
  • Pipeline Management: Own the full sales cycle – from outreach and discovery to presentation, proposal, and contract close – to achieve and exceed monthly and quarterly revenue targets. 
  • Market Insights: Stay ahead of trends in English Language Learner policies, funding, and compliance requirements (e.g. WIDA, TELPAS, NYSESLAT, ELPA21) to inform sales strategy and conversations. 
  • Relationship Building: Establish yourself as a trusted advisor to EL program leaders, advocating for solutions that directly impact student outcomes. 
  • CRM Discipline: Maintain accurate, up-to-date records of all sales activities, pipeline updates, and forecast reports. 

 

Qualifications: 

  • Proven hunter sales experience, preferably in K-12 education, EdTech, assessments, or curriculum sales. 
  • Deep understanding of English Language Learner programs, screening, and assessment frameworks or ability to learn quickly. 
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders. 
  • Self-starter mindset with relentless drive to win new business. 
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred but not required.
