A creative design/build firm specializing in custom signage, exhibits, and wayfinding systems is seeking an experienced Project Manager & Estimator. The company works with a range of private and public clients across the U.S., managing projects from concept through fabrication and installation. The ideal candidate will have a background in fabrication or construction, strong organizational skills, and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
Position Overview
The Project Manager & Estimator plays a key role in overseeing multiple fabrication projects, coordinating teams, managing client communications, and developing cost estimates for bids. This position combines leadership, organization, and hands-on collaboration to ensure projects are completed on time, on budget, and at the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities Project Management
- Oversee projects from design approval through fabrication, shipping, and installation.
- Develop and manage project schedules; coordinate workloads and lead times between departments and vendors.
- Communicate with clients, designers, and fabricators to ensure clarity and progress across all project phases.
- Track materials, parts, and budgets throughout the project lifecycle.
- Coordinate installation logistics including tools, lodging, and shipping arrangements.
- Maintain detailed records, documentation, and schedules for each project.
- Support the team in problem-solving and decision-making to meet deadlines and quality standards.
Cost Estimating
- Develop detailed cost estimates for projects, including materials, vendor quotes, and labor projections.
- Collaborate with leadership on pricing strategies, markups, and bids.
- Maintain vendor relationships and stay updated on current pricing and material availability.
- Transition winning estimates into organized project budgets and manage expenses through completion.
Team Coordination
- Motivate and support cross-functional teams including designers, fabricators, and installers.
- Communicate frequently and transparently about changing priorities or challenges.
- Identify process improvements to reduce errors and improve workflow efficiency.
- Assist in training or mentoring team members as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, industrial design, or a related field preferred.
- 3+ years of experience in project management, cost estimating, or fabrication.
- Strong understanding of construction and manufacturing processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficient in spreadsheet management and schedule tracking.
- Comfortable managing multiple projects and shifting priorities.
- Willingness to travel 2–6 times per year for installations.
- A collaborative, flexible, and detail-oriented attitude.
