A well-established heavy equipment dealership in New Brunswick is seeking a Territory Sales Manager to represent its construction equipment product line. This role is ideal for a motivated and customer-focused sales professional who enjoys building relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and working directly with equipment owners and contractors.
The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and managing a designated sales territory, promoting both new and used equipment, and delivering solutions that meet customers’ operational needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Promote and sell new and used construction equipment within the assigned sales territory.
- Identify sales opportunities and generate leads through proactive prospecting and customer outreach.
- Conduct sales calls and meetings with prospective and existing customers.
- Maintain and grow relationships with an established client base.
- Stay informed on equipment specifications, features, and industry trends.
- Perform on-site equipment demonstrations for customers.
- Appraise used equipment and assist with sourcing equipment when required.
- Coordinate equipment transportation and delivery to customers.
- Represent the company at industry events and trade shows.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in heavy equipment or construction equipment sales.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to analyze customer needs and develop effective equipment solutions.
- Self-motivated with strong organizational and time management skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and close sales opportunities.
- High level of integrity and professionalism when working with customers and colleagues.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
- Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
- Valid driver’s license required.
Work Environment
This role involves a mix of office work, travel within the territory, trade show participation, and regular visits to customer locations. A company vehicle will be provided.
