We are recruiting on behalf of a well-established, privately owned Equipment Dealership with decades of success serving customers across Atlantic Canada. Known for its strong reputation, exceptional customer service, and long-term relationships, the company continues to invest in growth and is seeking an ambitious Sales Representative to manage an established territory.


This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated sales professional who enjoys building lasting client relationships, developing new business, and working independently with the support of an experienced team.


The Role


Reporting to the Sales Manager, you will be responsible for managing an established sales territory, maintaining existing customer relationships, and identifying new business opportunities. You'll work closely with customers to understand their operational needs and provide solutions that deliver long-term value.


This position offers significant autonomy and is ideal for someone who enjoys being on the road, meeting customers, and growing a territory through relationship-based sales.


Key Responsibilities


  • Manage and grow an established sales territory.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with existing customers.
  • Prospect for new business opportunities through networking, referrals, cold calling, and customer visits.
  • Conduct in-person meetings and product presentations.
  • Prepare quotations, negotiate pricing, and close sales.
  • Develop long-term partnerships through exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain current knowledge of products, market trends, and industry developments.
  • Represent the company at customer events, trade shows, and industry functions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments to ensure a positive customer experience throughout the sales process.
  • Assist with account management and follow-up as required.


What We're Looking For


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education is considered an asset.
  • Previous experience in outside sales, business development, or account management.
  • Experience selling industrial, capital, or heavy equipment is considered a strong asset.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Self-motivated with a proven ability to work independently.
  • Highly organized with strong time-management skills.
  • Comfortable using computers and CRM or sales management software.
  • Valid driver's licence with a clean driving record.
  • Willingness to travel extensively throughout the assigned territory (approximately 75%).
  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Bilingual (English/French) is considered an asset.
