We are currently recruiting for an experienced Mould Maker to join a well-established manufacturing organization supporting the automotive industry.

This is an offsite/customer-facing role focused on the repair, modification, troubleshooting and maintenance of large automotive injection moulds. The position offers the opportunity to work independently at customer facilities and tooling trial locations, providing hands-on technical support and helping resolve tooling issues.

What You’ll Do:

• Troubleshoot, repair and modify large injection moulds based on trial results and customer requirements
• Attend mould/tool tryouts and provide technical support to customers and internal teams
• Travel to customer and trial locations, sometimes on short notice
• Identify and resolve tooling issues and provide effective onsite solutions
• Ensure moulds meet customer specifications and required quality standards
• Document customer discussions, instructions, issues and non-conformances
• Work closely with Program Management, Engineering, Scheduling, Machining and other departments
• Help coach and mentor other team members on mould-building processes and best practices
• Plan and organize work to meet quality, cost and timing requirements
• Support continuous improvement, safety, quality and efficiency initiatives
• Assist with other mould-building and technical projects as required

What We’re Looking For:

• 10+ years of experience in mould making
• Mould Maker 431A certification or equivalent experience
• Previous automotive industry experience is required
• Tool & Die Maker 430A certification is an asset
• College diploma in a technical field is an asset
• Strong knowledge of mould-making practices, standards and processes
• Experience with TIG welding; laser welding experience is an asset
• Strong mechanical and mathematical aptitude
• Experience with NX software and GSS
• Ability to build and work on smaller tools
• Strong troubleshooting and root-cause analysis skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Self-motivated, results-oriented and able to work independently
• Comfortable working in a customer-facing environment and under tight timelines
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities

Travel Requirements:

This is an offsite position with significant travel to customer facilities and tooling trial locations. Candidates must be willing and able to travel domestically and internationally as required.
