Overview:
A leading manufacturer in Charlottetown, PE is seeking a Senior Production Manager to lead and coordinate all aspects of its production operations. This role is ideal for a results-oriented professional with significant leadership experience in regulated manufacturing environments. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving operational excellence, ensuring compliance, managing costs, and leading a high-performing team.
Key Responsibilities:
- Champion a safe workplace by ensuring adherence to all health and safety policies and protocols.
- Develop, execute, and monitor the production strategy aligned with company operational goals.
- Assist in the preparation of operational and capital budgets, as well as developing procedures and policies.
- Analyze performance, line speed, and efficiency data to drive productivity improvements.
- Lead, coach, and develop employees using Lean Manufacturing and Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) principles.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback to team members.
- Ensure compliance with all production procedures, customer requirements, and government regulations.
- Coordinate activities across departments and with suppliers to maximize human, machine, and equipment efficiency.
Qualifications:
- 7–10 years of progressive leadership experience in dietary supplement and/or pharmaceutical manufacturing.
- Background in Manufacturing, Processing, or Packaging, preferably in food production.
- Strong knowledge of GMP, HACCP, and regulatory compliance.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams and implement process improvements.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies is an asset.
- Post-secondary education in Engineering, Food Science, Operations Management, or a related field is preferred.
