The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a skilled and dependable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join their team in a full-time, permanent position.
This is a hands-on role suited to someone who enjoys troubleshooting, working with equipment and building systems, and taking ownership of maintenance activities. The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining a safe, efficient, and reliable facility while supporting preventative, corrective, and reliability-focused maintenance programs.
The ideal candidate is practical, safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently while also contributing to a collaborative maintenance team.
Key Responsibilities
- Complete assigned maintenance work orders through a CMMS system and ensure all required documentation is completed accurately.
- Perform a wide variety of maintenance tasks throughout the facility and cross-train with other members of the maintenance team.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with operating equipment, building systems, and facility infrastructure.
- Support preventative, corrective, and reliability maintenance activities.
- Help develop and improve preventative maintenance plans and standard operating procedures.
- Maintain a strong understanding of facility systems and equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation.
- Coordinate and oversee work performed by external contractors.
- Identify opportunities for system improvements, efficiency, and reduced downtime.
- Participate in facility inspections, audits, and maintenance improvement initiatives.
- Support facility improvement projects focused on operational and energy efficiency.
- Ensure maintenance activities comply with applicable safety and environmental requirements.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a clean, organized, and safe condition.
- Respond to alarms and urgent maintenance requirements as part of an on-call rotation.
- Work collaboratively with other departments to support overall facility operations.
- Assist the Maintenance Manager with special projects and other duties as required.
Qualifications

3+ years of experience in industrial plumbing, HVAC, industrial building maintenance, or a related field.
- Experience in a regulated manufacturing environment is considered an asset.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience using hand and power tools.
- Ability to read, understand, and complete maintenance documentation.
- Experience working with a CMMS is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- WHMIS certification is considered an asset.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining a strong focus on safety.
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail and record-keeping skills.
- Self-motivated and comfortable adapting to changing priorities.
- Must have reliable transportation and be available to work a 40-hour work week.
- Must be willing and able to participate in an on-call rotation.
- Ability to provide a satisfactory criminal record check.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform physical tasks throughout an 8-hour shift, including standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to wear required personal protective equipment.
- Comfortable working in environments with varying temperatures, humidity, and lighting conditions.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, production-focused environment.
- Must be comfortable responding to unexpected maintenance issues and working under time-sensitive conditions.
- Must be comfortable working independently while also contributing to a team environment.
