About the Role
As a Maintenance Technician, you’ll play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of our facility. From troubleshooting and repairing equipment to developing preventative maintenance plans, your technical expertise will keep production running safely and efficiently.
This is a hands-on position where no two days are the same, offering plenty of opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to an evolving organization.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on facility equipment and systems.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machinery and mechanical issues.
- Assist in developing and improving preventative maintenance programs.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend solutions to improve efficiency and reliability.
- Coordinate with external contractors and oversee work to ensure completion to standards.
- Accurately complete work orders and maintain records using a CMMS system.
- Support ongoing facility improvement projects to enhance operations and reduce downtime.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and workspaces in safe and working order.
- Collaborate closely with the Maintenance Manager and other team members to achieve operational goals.
Qualifications & Skills
- 3+ years of experience in facility or equipment maintenance; food or pharmaceutical industry experience is an asset.
- Hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and general repair techniques.
- Knowledge of HVAC systems and equipment maintenance is considered an asset.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
- Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently or in a team.
- WHMIS certification considered an asset.
- Must be 19 years of age or older.
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
- Ability to provide a clear criminal record check.
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
- Fast-paced, production-focused environment.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, pushing, and pulling for extended periods.
- Must be comfortable wearing required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Exposure to cleaning products and plant-based materials.
- Must be adaptable to varying temperatures, humidity levels, and strong plant odors.

- Monday to Friday
- 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM & once a week 10:00 am to 6:30 pm
