About the Opportunity


A well-established, equipment dealership with a strong presence across Atlantic Canada is seeking a dynamic, motivated, and results-driven Sales Representative to join its growing team.


With a long history in forestry, construction, and agricultural equipment, the organization is entering an exciting growth phase and is looking for the right individual to take ownership of an established territory in the Truro, Nova Scotia region. (Truro to Cape Breton)

The Role


Reporting to the Sales Manager, the Sales Representative will be responsible for promoting and selling construction equipment within an assigned territory in Nova Scotia.


Key Responsibilities


  • Maintain and grow relationships with existing customers
  • Prospect and develop new business within the assigned territory
  • Contact and meet potential customers via phone, email, and in person
  • Generate leads and identify new sales opportunities
  • Negotiate pricing and close sales
  • Build long-term customer relationships
  • Maintain strong product knowledge and continuously improve expertise
  • Invite customers to company events and participate in trade shows
  • Collaborate with internal departments, including accounts receivable
  • Represent the company professionally at industry events


Requirements


  • High school diploma (post-secondary or relevant experience considered an asset)
  • Previous sales experience, ideally in equipment, industrial, or related sectors
  • Strong customer relationship and communication skills
  • Confident negotiator with a results-driven mindset
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage a territory independently
  • Comfortable with 75% travel within assigned region
  • Valid driver’s licence with clean abstract
  • Ability to work 40+ hours per week and adapt to changing priorities
  • Bilingual (French/English) considered a strong asset
