Position Summary
The Finance Manager is responsible for managing all customer financing arrangements while ensuring full compliance with lender requirements, regulatory standards, and dealership policies. This role works closely with the sales team, lending partners, and customers to structure competitive financing solutions, maximize product penetration, and support overall dealership profitability.
The Finance Manager plays a critical role in delivering a transparent, professional, and ethical customer experience while maintaining the highest standards of accuracy, compliance, and confidentiality.

Key Responsibilities
- Present and arrange customer financing options, including loans, leases, and balloon structures
- Work directly with lenders to obtain competitive rates, approvals, and funding terms
- Structure finance deals that meet customer needs while supporting dealership profitability
- Accurately prepare, review, and execute all finance and insurance documentation
- Maintain strong product penetration and gross profit performance
- Clearly explain all finance products, terms, conditions, and disclosures to customers
- Stay current with lender programs, product offerings, and pricing structures
- Ensure compliance with all federal and provincial regulations, lender requirements, and dealership policies
- Maintain complete, accurate, and audit-ready deal jackets and documentation
- Monitor funding timelines and proactively resolve funding delays or discrepancies
- Support internal and external audits related to finance and funding activities
- Work closely with sales teams to ensure a smooth transition from sale to delivery
- Liaise with the accounting department to ensure timely funding, payouts, and deal reconciliation
- Act as the primary point of contact between the dealership and lending partners
- Track, analyze, and report key finance performance metrics, including product penetration, reserve income, and funding timelines
- Identify opportunities to improve deal flow, compliance processes, and customer experience
- Assist in the development and maintenance of standardized finance processes and best practices
- Dealership-based role requiring flexibility, including extended or variable hours aligned with sales and delivery schedules
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum 3–5+ years of Finance experience in a dealership environment
- Post-secondary diploma or degree in accounting, finance, business, or a related field preferred
- Strong working knowledge of financing structures, lender programs, and insurance products
- Solid understanding of provincial and federal compliance requirements (Canada)
- Proficiency with dealership management systems (DMS) and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel
- Thorough understanding of financing documentation, funding processes, and deal reconciliation
- Exceptional attention to detail and commitment to documentation accuracy
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Professional customer presentation and relationship management abilities
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with sales, accounting, and management teams
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced dealership environment
- Willingness to adapt to new technologies, lender programs, and regulatory changes
- High level of integrity, discretion, and professionalism when handling confidential financial information
- Commitment to continuous learning, compliance, and process improvement
- Demonstrated respect for diversity and professionalism in the workplace
- Valid driver’s license preferred
