Job Type: 12-Month Contract

Start Date: November 2, 2026

Hourly Rate: $25–$29/hour, depending on experience

Possibility of Extension


We are currently recruiting for a Principal Accounting Associate to join the accounting team of a well-established organization in Charlottetown on a 12-month contract, with the possibility of extension.

This is a great opportunity for an experienced accounting professional who enjoys working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is comfortable managing multiple priorities and deadlines.


Key Responsibilities


  • Process and manage Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable activities
  • Complete bank reconciliations and assist with routine accounting functions
  • Maintain accurate and timely financial records
  • Review and process accounting transactions in accordance with established procedures
  • Assist with account inquiries and resolve discrepancies as required
  • Work within an accounting/ERP system to enter, maintain and retrieve financial information
  • Support the broader accounting team with various administrative and accounting-related tasks
  • Ensure work is completed accurately and within established deadlines


Qualifications & Experience


  • Minimum 3 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Strong Accounts Payable experience, with at least 1–2 years preferred
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable and bank reconciliations
  • Experience working in a high-volume accounting environment is an asset
  • Experience using an accounting or ERP system is required
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is considered an asset
  • Post-secondary education in Accounting, Commerce, Business or a related field
  • A combination of education and relevant experience will also be considered
