Location: Position would ideally work out of Fort Collins (CO) office BUT Austin (TX) office is also acceptable. Ideal candidate will have experience with geospatial SW.


SUMMARY

We are in search of an active Engineering Manager for a permanent position at a fast-growing company. In this role, you will be hands-on technically, while also guiding and mentoring team members. RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Actively participate as a leading software engineer within the team, contributing technically.
  • Mentor and provide guidance to technical team members.
  • Collaborate across functions to support product roadmap planning with engineering insights, and subsequently, take the lead in the development process.
  • Assess and resolve technical challenges.
  • Identify and promote innovations and enhancements in technology.
  • Ensure thorough product/code testing and work closely with the team to promptly address any quality issues.
  • Contribute to the performance review process.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Possess 8-10+ years of software development experience in a Microsoft-stack environment.
  • Hold 5+ years of experience as a solution architect, or in technical or team leadership roles.
  • Proficient in Agile development, championing best practices, and leading Agile transformations.
  • Preferably have hands-on experience with Azure cloud development.
  • Possess 3+ years of experience with responsibilities for technology direction, execution, and application support.
  • Have 2+ years of experience in Agile transformation.
  • Demonstrate a track record of architecting and constructing large-scale distributed cloud systems in a hybrid private cloud and Azure cloud framework.
  • Exhibit practical expertise in using SDLC tools such as Git, Jira, Confluence, Azure DevOps, and CI/CD methodologies.
  • Applied experience in developing with C# .NET using cloud design patterns.
