AF TENCAP IT Overview | Roles & Requirements
VetRamp is teamed with A1Fed and preparing to support the United States Air Force Tactical Exploitation of National Capabilities (AF TENCAP) mission in Colorado Springs, CO. AF TENCAP bridges the gap between national intelligence assets and tactical warfighters, accelerating the integration of emerging capabilities into operational use. Work will span multiple networks (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS, and SAP) in support of SCI/SAR environments and advanced technical operations.
These positions (contingent upon award) will directly support the continued development, deployment, and sustainment of classified IT systems critical to AF TENCAP’s rapid ISR prototyping mission. All roles require active TS/SCI Clearances.

Computer Systems Engineer / Architect
In this role, you will design, develop, and integrate secure, mission-critical IT and ISR systems across multiple classified networks (NIPR, SIPR, JWICS). Responsibilities include technical planning, systems design, requirements analysis, and lifecycle sustainment of emerging prototype systems. You will ensure STIG compliance, support RMF documentation, and collaborate on SAP/SAR system integrations. This position requires strong knowledge of system architecture and secure infrastructure implementation in a DoD environment.
Computer Network Support Specialist
You will configure and manage routers, switches, and firewalls across multiple security domains. Duties include troubleshooting cross-domain connectivity, ensuring uptime for classified services, and supporting server/network integration. You’ll work with VTC/A/V systems and contribute to technical refreshes, troubleshooting, and system upgrades. This role demands familiarity with network protocols, enclave security practices, and physical infrastructure management.
Computer User Support Specialist
User Support Specialists provide Tier I and II desktop support to AF TENCAP users at Schriever SFB. You’ll respond to incidents, resolve technical issues, configure secure workstations, and manage AD accounts in a high-side environment. This role includes managing ticket workflows, documenting resolutions, and assisting with VTC and A/V setups. You’ll support physical security and endpoint compliance, and ensure all customer service aligns with DoD security protocols. Experience with Remedy, SCCM, and PowerShell is a plus.
Information Security Analyst
You will execute cybersecurity operations across classified systems, ensuring continuous compliance with DoD RMF, STIGs, and ATO requirements. Responsibilities include SCAP scanning, POA&M tracking, SSP creation, log audits, and vulnerability remediation. You will interface with ISSMs, AOs, and cybersecurity stakeholders to secure prototype ISR systems and SAP environments. Candidates should have experience with DoD accreditation tools and familiarity with JSIG/SAP security requirements.
IT Project Manager / COPM
As COPM, you will oversee staffing, deliverables, risk management, and quality control aligned to the Performance Work Statement. You will be the primary point of contact for the Government COR, manage the Project Management Plan (PMP), Monthly Status Reports (MSR), and transition plans. Familiarity with SAP/SAR environments, DoD ITIL practices, and classified program execution is essential for this leadership role.
Network and Computer Systems Administrator
This role includes administering secure Windows/Linux servers, managing virtualization (VMware), Active Directory, system patching, and backups. You’ll support incident response, compliance audits, and system migrations while maintaining classified system availability. Candidates should be experienced with PowerShell, STIGs, and have a strong grasp of DoD enclave administration.
Telecommunications Equipment Installer / Repairer
Telecom Installer/Repair Technicians support AF TENCAP's secure communication infrastructure at Schriever SFB. Responsibilities include installing, terminating, and testing secure copper and fiber cabling, A/V systems, and patch panels. You'll coordinate with facilities and engineering teams to maintain structured cabling and ensure mission system uptime in classified environments. Experience supporting VTC deployments, secure room builds, and cable audits is highly desirable.
