TITLE: Web Application Developer


LOCATION: Hybrid (Remote 3 days a week; Onsite 2 days a week)


OVERVIEW

We are seeking a Web Application Developer to join VetRamp and support an Air Force Medical program located at 693 Neiman St, Fort Detrick, MD 21702. The mission of the Air Force Medical (AFMED) Agency is to enable the efficient and effective procurement, sustainment and delivery of medical supplies, services, and equipment for peacetime and expeditionary operations for the Air Force Medical Services (AFMS). By providing Air Force medical logisticians leading-edge training, tools, and information systems to accomplish the mission, AFMED strives to become the premier medical logistics activity in the Department of Defense (DoD). AFMED meets warfighter mission objectives at all organizational levels through direct access to “over 50” cutting edge web applications. These applications allow users to obtain vital information such as: current War Reserve Materiel assemblage authorizations, historical equipment maintenance data, calculated force  health protection requirements, Theatre Lead Agent Medical Materiel ordering capability, Key Performance Indicator and Logistics Management Indicator metrics, and much more...


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Web Application Development:

  • Develop and integrate web applications within the existing AFMED website framework, including data definition libraries, role-based security, navigation structure, and database design methodologies.
  • Define and implement rules for creating/modifying tables and securely storing data.

Security Framework Integration:

  • Ensure applications align with the role-based security framework, supporting defined privileges and roles.
  • Implement robust network and application security to safeguard sensitive personnel records.

Navigation and Design:

  • Integrate applications into the existing website navigation structure using detailed navigation maps and action plans.
  • Establish consistent design elements, including styles, alignment, and primary/secondary navigation.

Documentation and Collaboration:

  • Develop execution plans, including prototypes for screens, navigation, and functionality, for government review within two weeks of receiving requirements.
  • Participate in weekly meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment during design and implementation phases.

Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Conduct quarterly and as-needed meetings with the Government Program Manager and stakeholders to ensure project success.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education/Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent experience (5+ years in programming).
  • 2+ years of experience programming with the following technologies:
  • React TypeScript, Ext JS, .NET Framework with C#
  • XML, JSON, SQL, HTML
  • Object-oriented design principles

Technical Skills:

  • 2+ years of application experience in:
  • Security integration (roles, authentication)
  • User-defined functions, structured reporting
  • Dynamic form generation, MVC web services, and APIs


SECURITY REQUIREMENTS

Personnel Clearance:

  • Tier 1 (T1) investigative clearance required prior to contract performance. Must be a US Citizen.
  • Contractor personnel must undergo fingerprinting and all clearance-related tasks at their expense.

Network Access:

  • Access to the government network requires verified T1 certification through DISS.
  • Adherence to government regulations for network use is mandatory, including restrictions on recruitment or job advertisements.

Work Environment:

  • Hybrid Role: This position allows for remote work, with onsite responsibilities at 693 Neiman St, Fort Detrick, MD 21702 as required. Candidates must be able to commute to the onsite location as needed.
