We are partnered with a very large enterprise that is building out a new state-of-the-art facility in the greater Austin area. They are seeking a strong network engineer to help design and support data center network solutions. In this role you will also be a SME and will help mentor and grow junior engineers. Job Responsibilities
- Support the design and implementation of complex network architectures,
- Make recommendations for the Spine-Leaf topology designs, VxLAN EVPN, legacy networks.
- Provide network support including participation in on-call rotation
- Perform proof of concept testing in a lab environment

SENIOR NETWORK ENGINEER (FORTINET)
Our customer, a leading provider of energy storage, is moving from Hirschmann to Fortinet products, and subsequently looking for a Network Engineer with strong Fortinet experience. They are currently outsourcing this support and want to bring in-house.
This is a very hands on, senior level requirement: a one man band (so-to-speak) that will own the Network environment, but must also collaborate well with the rest of the infrastructure & security team. This role will NOT manage anyone, BUT wholly responsible for the design and installation of networking environment.
Work Environment
-Must sit in Austin
- 1-2 days a week onsite once this person knows Fractal’s environment (Lots of flexibility)
- 4 days a week for on site for the first month.
-This role is THE Network person for the company and will own everything infrastructure-wise for Fractal. It’s a critical role.
-Team has a Director of Cyber Security and this person will work with them to help shape the cyber security long term. Will have to be the hands-on role.
-Project-based - 100 switches - teams will help. This person will do the programming.

-Up time and availability and must be on > Must have someone who owns "up-time" for all their customers.
-Work with vendors for projects > Configuration of switches - prior to shipment - installed in the field and then set-up and maintenance.
