This role offers the opportunity for remote work but occasional travel may be required. Target pay is $60-65/hour.

Key responsibilities include:


- Developing Python scripts to integrate new hardware on the Raspberry Pi platform.

- Crafting kernel-level modules/drivers in C for packet protocol routing and architecture at Layer 2 & 3.

- Implementing embedded code for hardware components and drivers.

- Contributing directly to strategic decision-making alongside the leadership team.

- Engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders, including government agencies and customers.


Their ideal candidate will possess:


- Proficiency in modern networking standards and the OSI Networking Model.

- Knowledge of mesh network routing protocols and logic, along with experience in Bash scripting.

- Expertise in the Linux Operating System as a development environment.

- A proven ability to architect applications, manage signals, and ensure security.

- Strong problem-solving skills, whether troubleshooting hardware on a benchtop or resolving software issues.

- Experience in an agile working environment, with familiarity in IBSS/Ad-Hoc networking standards and 802.11.xx standards.

- The ability to create test plans and proposals, with ISP experience considered a plus.

- Additional experience in hardware selection and/or design is advantageous.

- Familiarity with Debian/Raspbian OS and OpenWRT is preferred.
