Job Summary

Manage and deploy communications infrastructure systems at data centers and company locations. Collaborate with teams during construction and deployment, ensuring quality through regular site visits. Role is remote, with the preference for the candidate to be located near an airport (in the U.S.) in either the Central or Eastern time zone.

Job Responsibilities

  • Document cabling and telecommunication needs, and develop project scopes.
  • Create construction documentation and coordinate Outside Plant (OSP) design.
  • Plan and route low-voltage and fiber optics cables, and design MDF/IDF room layouts.
  • Maintain specifications, equipment procedures, and create project bills of materials.
  • Approve change orders, interview contractors, and handle RFIs and submittals.
  • Evaluate workmanship at sites, stay updated on BICSI standards, and communicate professionally within the team.
  • Travel up to 30%-60%.


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree (Bachelor’s preferred) in Business, Engineering, or Construction.
  • Five years of telecommunication systems design experience.
  • RCDD certification (highly) desired; additional BICSI certifications preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and Visio; AutoCAD and Revit experience preferred.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask, lift up to 50 lbs, and operate heavy equipment.
  • Knowledge of IT services and systems architecture.
  • PMP or CAPM certification is a plus.
