This role entails engagement in hydrologic and hydraulic (H&H) assessments, both leading and supporting projects in Land Development, Municipal, and Transportation sectors. Specific project responsibilities encompass conducting drainage impact assessments for master-planned developments, roadway drainage projects, stormwater masterplan evaluations, analyzing Capital Improvement Program alternatives, FEMA Letters of Map Change Requests, flood damage protection design, conveyance studies, and dam breach investigations. The position involves technical analysis and design, communication with clients, mentoring teams and individuals, budgeting, invoicing, and planning.


Responsibilities

  • The Project Manager will oversee and manage a significant engineering project or multiple smaller projects featuring intricate elements.
  • Collaborate with and lead a team of Professional Engineers (PEs) and Engineering Interns (EITs) to produce hydrologic and hydraulic analyses and reports as required.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior staff in technical H&H skills and teamwork.
  • Take charge of the day-to-day operations and schedules for H&H engineering analysis to support the Land Division.
  • Leverage conventional and advanced modeling techniques, theories, and practices within hydrology and hydraulics-related disciplines.
  • The Project Manager will engage with clients and other consultants, necessitating exceptional communication skills and the ability to establish strong relationships.
  • Participate in relevant engineering organizations to enhance the company's visibility.


Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering or a related field. A Master's degree is a bonus.
  • Licensed as a Professional Engineer.
  • Certification as a Floodplain Manager (CFM) is advantageous.


Experience Requirements

  • A minimum of 10 years of experience in H&H analysis and design.
  • Proficiency in commonly used H&H software, including ArcGIS, GeoHEC-RAS, HEC-RAS (Unsteady, 2D), HEC-HMS, InfoWorks ICM, and XP-SWMM..
