Job Summary

Looking for a Director of Human Resources who works well with talent acquisition, talent branding, employee onboarding, benefits administration, and payroll oversight. This person will directly work with all levels of employees to answer all questions about the company benefits and payroll.


Job Responsibilities

  • Developing recruitment strategies
  • Implementing systems for managing staff benefits, payroll, and behavior
  • Overseeing the recruiting, interviewing, and hiring of new staff
  • Consulting with leadership on strategic planning
  • Serving as a face of HR between an organization's management and its employees
  • Administering pay, benefits, and leave
  • Educating and enforcing company policies and practices to include PTO, leave of absence, FMLA, and long-term/short-term disability
  • Organizing and coordinating the organization's critical human resources functions
  • Managing activities such as job design, recruitment, employee relations, performance management, training & development, and talent management


Other duties may include...

  • Liaising between departments or other groups to improve function or communication
  • Advising others on legal or regulatory compliance matters
  • Recommending organizational processes or policy changes
  • Analyzing data to inform operational decisions or activities


Required Skills & Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree in human resources, labor relations, organizational development, business or related area; relevant work experience may be a substitute
  • Effective and polished verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the Google suite
  • Experience with the human resources information system (HRIS) used by your company, such as Zoho People, Cloud HR, Greenhouse and others
  • Knowledge of a broad range of human resource strategies and practices, including compensation, performance management, hiring and employee relations; able to apply these strategies and practices in compliance with employment regulations
  • Ability to create a fun culture that embraces diversity, inclusivity, collaboration and teamwork
  • Experience with analyzing data to guide strategic employment planning
